process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA

towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG),
which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and

research scientist, software engineers, application development
engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central
Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of
9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across
all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling &
Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition,
Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent
includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China,
India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and
deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also
subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized

Description/Preferred QualificationsJob DescriptionKLA is looking
for an Electrical Engineer in our Central Engineering Group in Ann
Arbor. The engineer will work in a team of electrical and
mechanical design engineers responsible for power modules and racks
modules across different divisions within the corporation. The
engineer owns the designing, detailing, and testing new electrical
sub-system for the next generation of KLA tools!You will design
electrical parts, modules and subsystems that are part of an entire
measurement system. Responsibilities include:
- The complete design process from requirements specification,
feasibility studies, cost and scheduling, to conducting various
analysis (such as circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, electrical
loads),
- Thermal/cooling analysis and control.
- PLC programming,
- Conceptual and detailed design using design tools (OrCAD,
AutoCAD), detailed drawings, design review presentations,
- Procurement of prototype parts, system integration, prototype
testing, and handoff to manufacturing.Developing the required
supporting documentation, such as assembly, test fixtures and
procedures, and service manuals is also part of your
responsibilities.These tasks will require working with other
engineering groups such as mechanical software, systems, and
manufacturing engineers to ensure flawless integration and test at
the subsystem and system level.Job DescriptionWork closely with and
manages suppliers to ensure all design requirements are specified
and achieved. Address and resolve product issues through the
product lifecycle phases.The candidate must be a self-motivated
individual with the ability to multi-task and work independently as
part of a team. They will also have the inherent desire to expand
their knowledge through self-study and continuing education and
training. Strong written and verbal communications skills are
needed for extensive interaction with vendors and team
members.Preferred Qualifications
- PLC Programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley)
- Communication fieldbus protocols (e.g. CAN bus)
- Knowledge of controls (Thermal/Cooling modeling, Control and
Safety circuits, PID Tuning)
- MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW
- Solid understanding of OrCAD, AutoCAD (CREO is a plus!)
- Strong problem analysis and solving capability
- Ability to diagnose problems and hands-on troubleshooting
experience for complex electrical subsystems
- Enjoy working on groundbreaking technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsYou must have
the flexibility for domestic and international travel based on
business needs.Minimum QualificationsMaster's Level Degree and 0
years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related
work experience of 2 yearsBase Pay Range: $74,800.00 - $127,200.00
